Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian born actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. Speaks French, German, English and Romanian fluently. Her father, who is a professor of theater at one of Romania's most prestigious theatre schools, is a theatre teacher. The award was presented to her as with the Best Female Actor Award in 2000, for her performance in the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors. The award was given to her as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She taught for four years at University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu Iasi. bAnamaria Marina is a Romanian actor born in Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. This film won several accolades including the European Film Award Best Actress by The London Film Critics. In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared as the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar on BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca is a regular on Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. The actress later played a significant role in the 2014 film Fury where she played a German woman known as Irma the aunt of Emma.
